Hey Marvin,
Sorry to hear you've had a rough weekend. My days have been a little troubled too, of late. Hope things will work out for you, take it easy.
Willie
I think the difference here is that the elder from your church did actually attack you, whereas JJ did not. She posted her own thoughts on her own blog, and yes, they were about you, but as you stated, you are now a public figure so she was well within her rights to do that. It was Peterson who brought the post to your attention, not JJ.
And, uh, I think Willie Hewes is a woman, I could be wrong though. Feel free to correct me.
Hmmmmm, I dunno whether the air is clear, or not. I've never met JJ, or interacted with her in any way. I read her post with interest, though, because her theory might explain what is happening with "ex-gays". I don't know your elder, either, but I've dealt with a few bullies in my day.
I love being able to listen to your audioblogs, because you give of yourself so freely to all who choose to listen. That is so very rare, and as you say, you are on a path that few others are on. I've been able to talk easily with quite a few gay and lesbian people, but very few ex-gays. You are a wonderful exception to that, and I love it! Usually I have trouble talking with evangelical Christians, because I used to be in that atmosphere, and found it most toxic to my spirit. Yet there you are, speaking in your wonderful voice, to people who may not share your beliefs or values. It is miraculous, and I hope that you will continue to tell your story.
